Advanced on-board systems for L4 CAVs
In this activity, work is being done to obtain systems that will enable a prototype of a level 4 CAV. The Operational Design Domain (ODD) encompasses all the specific conditions under which a CAV system is designed to operate, including driving modes. At level 4, the vehicle is capable of driving during operation within its ODD, but this level still implies the presence of a driver.
In order to reach this goal, different systems are developed to execute perception, navigation, actuation and communication tasks, thus enabling efficient and safe vehicle operation in autonomous driving situations.
